Transformation of the Province Towards Region

After we have postponed the Provincial Chapter for few years, finally we held it on 8^th to 14^th August 2022 in Puspanita Eco Spirit Center Retreat House, Ciawi, Bogor with Fr. J. Haryatmoko, SJ as the moderator. The theme of the chapter is “Transformation of the Province Towards the Region”.

Before we begin the chapter, all the sisters participated in the preliminary guided by the Provincial Chapter Preparatory Team. The Preliminary was done by zoom meeting.

Sr. Juliati, explained about the meaning of the chapter based on the FMM Constitution during her opening speech. It is an institution that reveal the collegiality, preserve the Institute’s inheritance, update and discuss important matters.

In the opening Mass of the Provincial chapter, each capitulars knitting the tread as a symbol of self-offering, active participation and contribution during the chapter and in daily life as one body and heart.

While Fr. Haryatmoko explained the “letting go” attitude in the process of Discernment using its 7 steps. It was continued by evaluating and looking back the journey of FMM Indonesian Province since the last chapter in 2017 until now.

Then, in the next three days, the participants entered discernment atmosphere to reflect on the 5 modalities that we are going to implement as our way of life, namely Discernment, Membership, Leadership, Learning English and CHIPS values (Compassion, Humility, Integrity, Peace, Servant Leadership).

In the Eucharistic Celebration of the closing of the chapter we present the globe, the flags of each country belonging to the Trinity region and the result of the chapter. Then at the end of the celebration all participants signed a statement that they agreed with all the results of the chapter.
